It takes awhile to unlearn
Americanized religious propaganda, especially with what's coming from the end
time diagnostic department. When a person understands that "all"
prophecy was fulfilled in Christ Jesus they will eventually come know by the
Spirit that Jesus is the centerpiece of all prophetic scripture. That is why He
is the Chief Cornerstone of truth and the OT prophets and the NT apostles are
the foundation of the remnant church; aka, the only Israel of God. In Acts 2:6-8
the disciples were still focused on Israel’s reemergence into national supremacy. Their expectation was mismanaged until the
scripture was opened to them and then, it still took awhile for the light to come
on. The road to Emmaus encounter had the same national interests in play and as
late as three years after the events in Acts 2 the apostles still weren't
getting it. Peter has yet to speak to a Gentile about Christ, Stephen is stoned
after a historical review of national rebellion and Paul is recruited. He then reveals,
in writing, enough warning to mankind to last a thousand years or more. If that
were not enough, Israel's judgment is easily recognized throughout the book of Revelation.
Jesus told them to lose the eschatology and go into the entire world but you'll
notice that He didn't say anything about coming back. The Testimony of Jesus
Christ "is" the Spirit of prophecy according to the last and only
necessary Revelation. What can be added to what Jesus already warned us about
in Matthew 24? Nothing, prophecy as a predictor of future events is obsolete.
